About AI Governance Check
Free checks and guides, built to help your organisation get up to date on AI governance and stand behind the AI it uses.
What this is
Most people meet AI governance because someone has asked a question they can't yet answer: whether the EU AI Act applies, how close you are to ISO 42001, whether there's even an AI policy to point to. This site helps a UK organisation work those out on its own, for nothing, before it has to pay for anything or book a call.
It's here to help your organisation get its footing on AI governance, and you can take what's useful and leave the rest.
How it works
The checks run in your browser, so your answers are worked out there and the report is built there. Downloading asks for your organisation, because that is the name printed on the report; the name, work email and phone on the same form are there for the walkthrough. Nothing on it reaches us unless you tick the walkthrough box, which is unticked by default, and ticking it sends your details and your answers so a founder can call and talk them through.
How it stays current
We review each check against the text it rests on, and date the review. The EU AI Act check reflects the post-omnibus timeline that a lot of older material still gets wrong.

Where it stands with you
Everything here you can do on your own. When you'd rather have a person look over what you found, you can ask for a walkthrough, and until you do, nothing reaches your inbox.
What the checks can't tell you
The checks take the facts you give them and organise them into a readiness view. They are informational self-assessments: we assess readiness, we are not a certification body, and nothing this site produces is a certification or legal advice. When you need a legal conclusion, take the result to your own adviser.
